At the beginning of the 20th century, stately mansions were built throughout the city, housing important families of the time. At Rua General Polidoro, on the corner of Rua Paulo Barreto, in Botafogo, we find two of them, which resist the passage of time. There lived General Ângelo Mendes de Moraes, mayor of Rio in 1948, and, afterwards, for four decades, the family of deputy Lígia Lessa Bastos. The architectural design created for the site restored the original facades, making a major restructuring of the internal space, which houses an entertainment conglomerate, formed by Centro Cultural Solar De Botafogo, with a Theater, a Café, an Art Gallery, and TETO SOLAR Bar, with its Annex, for a total of 800m² of built area. We have a well-trained staff, and, in our facilities, we can host: Plays, shows, projections, lectures, congresses, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, courses, weddings, receptions, birthdays, parties, parades, among other types of events.
